When do you need a Care Needs Assessment?
It is sensible to have a Care Needs Assessment before arranging paid care for yourself or a loved one. It ensures that you arrange the appropriate level of care rather than care which is too restrictive or is not safe.
How is a Care Needs Assessment Carried out?
Our Experienced Care professional visits you or your loved one at home or in the hospital where they are currently being cared for. We ask that you make sure that a relative or friend or professional carer is present throughout the one/two hour visit. That ensures that you and we can be sure that our assessment has captured all the relevant information about you/ your loved one’s care needs.
Over this one/two hour discussion the Assessor asks you/your loved a range of questions to find out exactly what sort of care is needed and how frequently each day and night. The assessment will indicate how your/your loved one’s needs (Care home or Care in your own home) can most safely be met and what the likely cost of this care will be.

Assessments can normally be arranged within four working days. An assessment costs £250.00 which must be paid in advance.
